HDTV Projection on a Brown Wall

Different programs come in different sizes. If you install a screen, you are guaranteed to have borders on some programming. Without a screen, you do not get borders.
I'm projecting a 120" image directly on a brown wall. There are never any borders. Here are some photos, some with flash, some with the room lit, most with the lights off and no flash.
The camera was hand-held from approximately the same spot.

Notice the milk commercial is broadcast in 4x3 and the phone commercial is in 16x9. No annoying borders.

Originally, the wall was going to be light colored. But as you can see it does not have to be. And a dark wall has the advantage that dark areas are darker!
It's been like this since November 2007 and we have no plans to change it.

If I were to do this over again, I would not even think about installing a screen nor would I think about painting the wall a light color. Perhaps that stuff was necessary when bulbs were dim, but not anymore.
This also illustrates an advantage projectors will always have over panel displays (e.g., LCD, Plasma, etc).
